Key recognition and starting
Transponder key programming
The transponder is part of the vehicle’s start-authorisation system. A blade may open the door or turn the ignition while the vehicle still does not recognise the chip. GEM can assess suitable transponder keys and programming requirements.
If the key or fob is present but not recognised, the fault may also involve the immobiliser, BCM/BSI, ECU, steering lock or keyless module. Our vehicle electronics diagnostic route helps distinguish a key fault from a vehicle-side problem.
