Post Your Module: Packaging & Delivery
Before posting, ask GEM to confirm the module, proposed work and what needs to be sent. Keep the confirmation and your order or enquiry reference with your records.
For private customers, garages and automotive trade. Support is assessed for the exact module and required work.

What to send
- Original-module repair: the original electronic module and the agreed fault information.
- Cloning/data transfer: the original and compatible donor when confirmed, clearly labelled ORIGINAL and DONOR.
- SRS crash-data reset: the supported original SRS module; do not send airbags or pretensioners.
- Include vehicle make, model, year, part number, symptoms, fault codes and previous repair/programming history.
- Enclose your name, phone/email, order or enquiry reference and agreed return details.
Do not send a complete gearbox, unrelated vehicle parts or extra modules unless GEM has specifically requested them. Have modules removed safely using the appropriate vehicle procedures.
Protect the module in transit
- Protect exposed electronics with suitable anti-static packaging. Do not place adhesive tape on circuit boards or connector pins.
- Protect the connectors and cushion each module separately. Original and donor units should not knock against each other.
- Use a strong outer box with enough padding to prevent movement. Keep paperwork inside the parcel.
- Use tracked delivery and keep the dispatch receipt and tracking details. Confirm any carrier cover directly with the carrier.

After GEM receives the parcel
The module identification and condition are assessed against the requested service. GEM performs the agreed bench work where supported and advises on findings or limitations. Additional work or donor costs need agreement; an enquiry does not guarantee repair or recovery.
Return delivery and refitting
Your supplied module, or the agreed original/donor pair, is returned under the applicable service and order arrangements. The Shop shows applicable return-postage charges at checkout. Confirm the return address and current turnaround with GEM before dispatch; no fixed completion time is promised here.
After refitting, the vehicle may need a full scan, coding, adaptations or further fault diagnosis. A bench service cannot establish that unrelated wiring, mechanical or safety-system faults are resolved.
