A replacement key may need a correctly cut blade, an electronic transponder, a remote, or a combination of these. GEM checks the vehicle, key type and starting system so the work matches what is actually required.
Our automotive key equipment includes an Xhorse Dolphin II XP-005L automatic cutting machine, Key Tool Max Pro and Key Reader, alongside Launch X431 IMMO Plus, X-PROG and existing diagnostic/programming capability. Having this equipment does not mean every vehicle or procedure is supported.

Worn blade, broken key or a vehicle that will not start?
A damaged blade or case does not always need the same solution as a failed transponder. GEM can assess replacement blades, worn or damaged keys and remote-key faults, then explain which parts and programming are appropriate.
If the vehicle does not recognise the key, the fault may be in the key, immobiliser, BCM/BSI, ECU, steering lock, keyless module or related wiring and electronics. Our vehicle key and immobiliser diagnostic service considers the wider system before parts are replaced.

What if I have lost every key?
All-keys-lost work is vehicle dependent. Proof of vehicle ownership and customer identification are required before lost-key programming or key generation. GEM confirms whether your system is supported.
How much does a spare or replacement key cost?
There is no single price for every vehicle. Blade type, transponder, remote or proximity system, parts and the work required affect the quote. Ask GEM with your vehicle details.
Do I need to bring the vehicle to GEM?
This is a mobile/local service by arrangement. Standard customer vehicle drop-off is not offered. GEM confirms a suitable location and the requirements for the agreed job.
