Why choose GEM Repairs
Focused diagnosis before module replacement
A module fault code does not always mean the module itself has failed. Relevant electronics diagnosis helps establish whether programming, repair or replacement support is appropriate.
Selected on-site attendance
For an agreed specialist job, GEM may attend the vehicle at a suitable home, workplace or garage location. The scope, access and arrangements are reviewed before a visit is confirmed.
Advanced diagnostic equipment
Diagnostic and electrical test equipment helps gather evidence from control modules and their associated circuits, within the agreed specialist job.
Module and programming context
Module condition, vehicle configuration and earlier replacement or programming work help determine the appropriate next step.
Clear scope before work
We explain the proposed specialist work and quotation before arranging attendance. Any additional work is discussed before proceeding.

FAQs
Selected on-site specialist service FAQs
Can GEM attend my vehicle?
GEM may attend suitable specialist ECU, module and programming jobs at an agreed vehicle location. Send an enquiry first so we can review the work, access and arrangements. Standard vehicle visits or drop-offs at GEM are not offered.
What specialist on-site work can I enquire about?
Selected work may include ECU/module programming, replacement-module support, coding, automotive electronics diagnosis and immobiliser/module-related faults. The job and required procedure are reviewed individually.
Can every job be completed on-site?
No. Some work needs postal bench assessment or remote programming through an equipped garage. GEM will explain the appropriate route after reviewing the enquiry.
Do you work on ECU and immobiliser faults?
Selected ECU, immobiliser and key-recognition faults can be assessed where they relate to suitable specialist module work. Support depends on the vehicle, system, procedure and available equipment; not every vehicle or module is supported.
Which areas do you cover?
Selected on-site jobs are considered in Birmingham and West Midlands locations such as Wolverhampton, Walsall, Coventry, Dudley, West Bromwich and Smethwick. Attendance is by prior arrangement and depends on the job, access and availability.
