Repair the original
For supported internal electronic faults, GEM can assess the original module. Vehicle wiring, supplies and mechanical faults may need separate diagnosis.

Cloning/data transfer or replacement programming may be possible depending on supported data and both modules. Matching connectors alone is not enough.

Failed/corrupted module recovery and virgin/reset requests are assessed individually. Some units cannot be recovered or reset.

UK-Wide Postal Services explains the six steps from choosing a service to return delivery. Use the module finder to submit vehicle and label details, then purchase an existing Shop service only after suitability is confirmed.

Does the job need manufacturer programming?
Cloning, electronic repair and OEM programming are different routes. If the complete vehicle must be connected, GEM checks remote programming through your garage first; selected mobile/on-site support in Birmingham and surrounding West Midlands areas may be available by arrangement. Compare the programming and postal options, and send both module details before buying a donor where possible.
Which GEM service do I need?
1. Can the module be posted?
Postal service is the preferred route for supported cloning, data transfer, repair and bench work. Confirm the module and procedure before dispatch.
UK-wide postal services2. Does the complete vehicle need connecting?
Check remote compatibility first. The vehicle remains with your suitably equipped garage or technician.
UK-wide remote programming3. Remote work is not suitable?
Selected mobile/on-site services may be available in Birmingham and surrounding West Midlands areas by arrangement and subject to job suitability.
